Prof. A. Röhrig is a leading expert in longevity genetics, phytomedicine, and translational medicine. Serving as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal on P6 Medicine (IJ6PM), Prof. Röhrig advances integrative approaches that bridge predictive, preventive, personalized, participatory and precision medicine. With over 25 years of experience in phytomedicine and health education — including 15 years of international health education across Asian, European and South African countries — 20 years in quality of life optimization, 15 years in genetics, and 10 years dedicated to longevity research (including developing and implementing longevity programs in Germany and Dubai), Prof. Röhrig brings multidisciplinary expertise to integrative medicine. As Professor in Practice for Longevity Genetics and Phytomedicine, Prof. Röhrig combines academic insight with clinical innovation to promote evidence-based strategies for healthy ageing, and serves as Expert Advisor on Gene Therapy and Genetics with Atenium and Guidepoint. A survivor of gene therapy herself, she provides specialized guidance on regulatory pathways for gene therapy with the EMA, US FDA, MHRA and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). She is a Board Member for RIDM (translational medicine) and Scientific Director for Genetics, Longevity and Phytomedicine at the European Medical Association. In clinical practice, Prof. Röhrig specializes in longevity consultation, integrating liquid biopsy interpretation and intolerance assessment, and champions the "food as medicine" paradigm through personalized nutritional strategies. She has been appointed advisor to the Government of UAE on its longevity and digital health programme, including establishing the Dubai Longevity Center of Excellence, and advises the EU Parliament's FEPS unit on AI and digital health regulation. She holds three PhDs, the title of Emeritus Professor, and has been designated Tianshan Scholar in Genetics by the People's Republic of China, alongside honours including the Golden Hibiscus Award, Angel of Sudan, Ford Foundation Award and NIEW fellowships.
